The boys are back in school again. The weather is still hot and we are waiting for the rains. This year, five of the boys are in high school while the other five are still in primary school.

This month has been hectic with purchasing uniforms, shoes, ties, books, etc. Getting the boys into the mood of studying seems to be harder than the rest. Oh well! : )

The boys have their final examinations coming up this week. Please pray for them.

The boys have Sankranti holidays and have left to visit family and friends. They will be back in a week.

Today is Kamal's birthday and so we had a birthday bash for Kamal. We, also, had a big party to bring in the new year. We danced the new year in with friends and family who joined us for this celebration.

We have a dog that decided to adopt us. She is a street dog who used to live around this area. She  has moved in with us from the time that this home started. We call her Lady and she is the lucky mascot for Susy Boys' Home. Today, Lady presented us with four puppies for the new year. Three puppies are females and one is a male. They are so cute. They have not opened their eyes yet and all they do is drink milk and sleep.

The boys celebrated Christmas for the first time in their lives. They decorated the small Christmas tree that we bought for them. They received new clothes.

The boys went to see the United Christians' Christmas Celebration this evening. Every year the Christians of Hyderabad unite to celebrate Christmas on a large scale. This year the chief guest was the governor of Andhra Pradesh. The programme was beautiful. There was a huge choir that sang Christmas carols. Children from different churches danced to songs and enacted the nativity skit. This is the first time that the boys saw what Christmas was all about. They loved it.

The boys were taken to the Hyderabad Zoo. This was the first time the boys got to see a zoo. They had a blast. They enjoyed the Safari Ride most. They were able to see wild animals walking around in the open. The majesty of the wild animals left a mark on the boys. They appreciate animals more now.
